so much for letting us know( early this week ) were the so called "regionals" are to be held.thursday afternoon and still no news of the venue .i personaly think 7 weeks in to the season is 7 weeks to late.there are 4 or 5 pubs left in this region if you want to keep them on board keep them imformed.

It is precisely because there are "only 4 or 5 pubs left in this region" that it has required this amount of time to see how things lie after the "sudden" desertion of the Lincoln venues, which in essence is the reason for these problems - whatever their reasoning for joining another league.

Think of it in either way - if Mr R announced 7 weeks ago that the remaining East Mids venues were to play Stoke in October, and then the new sales exec signed up even say 10/15 new venues during the period, that would mean approx 70 players having to travel to Stoke when a more local Regional could have been put on.

The flip side of the coin, if Mr R announced you were still gonna have your own Regionals, relying on the Sales Exec to bring in new venues, but for whatever reason it wasnt possible, you would have a Regional of about 15 players.

Neither situation ideal im sure you'd agree? So for the sake of waiting until mid season, and Mr R has posted his explanation, to make sure whichever way it goes is right, its just a matter of a little patience.

Bad players get lucky...Good players get unlucky. Im good...and often wish I wasn't.

it was more tongue in cheek actually but as you seem to have taken umbridge then yes i have been to liverpool on many occasions and yes i do know what i am talking about, once i was unlucky enough to be robbed at knifepoint whilst sat in my own car at a traffic light off granby road, liverpool.(1994) i still have the crime sheet if you don't believe me. obviously i don't blame all liverpudlians but i do like to have a laugh at their dreadfull image. my home town is Kendal, don't know if you know it or not but it is a pretty quiet place to live.
