PITP Online League - Week 6

Just the 23 players this week playing the online league - a few notable exceptions to the starting line up, but most of the leading players in the league taking their seats.

Once we went to two tables the action heated up...on the table containing the likes of Whirlers, Stokie, Scirocc and Nelly Nelson the action was very fast and very furious, with chip stacks going up and down like a yoyo - on the other table, it was much more serene but just as intense, as league leader Rigga held on for dear life to preserve his tournament status, eventually falling in 12th spot.

Final table was reached with Stokie and Whirlers holding big stacks, but not for long...after MTS and Ally fell, there were some monster pots that all seemingly went the way of the lower stack. Stokie, Whirlers and DarkFingers all fell in quick succession as SaintintheCity went on an elimination spree, finding excellent hole cards and then hitting flops aplenty, even getting runner runners when needed to quickly ruck up a stack of over half the chips in play.

The writing was very quickly on the wall and although HighlandPark almost got back on par with Saint, there was only really one winner, as Saint beat Enigma heads up and took (i think!) his first ever Online League win.

Full weekly result is as follows :

Re: PITP Online League - Week 6

that was without question the most mental game of poker i have ever taken part in both personally and probably for everyone else at my table, personally i was down to 150 chips after hand 2 when my flopped 2pair got a hiding to whirlers flop nut straight! then a push when holding K9 for my last 150 and with nothing on the flop and 2 callers i was buried but for devine intervention when the kowboys came to my rescue runner runner! i then found 88 and pushed into GMs 77 and i was back in the game! soon after that i held JJ and pushed into AA but a knave on the flop and i was riding my luck and up to 7k then i did the only decent thing and give a good lump (4k) back to whirlers a couple more losses and 6 handed on table two and i call whirlers push with my last 525 chips and find my 96 is dominating his 86 and i am on the up once again! another double up through the genorous whirlers and i get up to around 5k and catch stokie for a double (i had waited very patiently) then with 10k or so i hold A9  and call highlandparks push with KJ and the board folds out AQQ and me screaming "no ten no ten no ten" them Kowboys came running again.... bugger! AQQKK and that sucked leaving me very little left but i still managed to get them in in front only to be outdrawn by saint and end up finishing fourth and feeling like i had..... had one hell of a game.

but that was only my story...dark fingers could probably give more life saving stories than any cat, whirlers had one  hell of a rollercoaster as did most on that table.... Awsome game, just awesome.

Re: PITP Online League - Week 6

Some very strange cards coming out.  Seemed to play for quite a while with 12 left and then at the start of the final table and the system seems to have just said 'f&&k them', and started giving crazy cards.  Pocket AA's came out something like 5 hands IN A ROW.  I had AK twice in a row and ran into AA's and then QQ which held up which ended my participation.  The number of times the low stack was all-in and was well behind only to see the cards save them was quite unbelievable.
