Play comes to a halt once the last five players are reached and play will continue in Las Vegas with the winners of the May 2009 final, to decide the spending money and who will be Poker in the Pub Champion for 2009.

 

Everyone is welcome to attend the national final and there will be sit n go tournaments available throughout the day for guests and players that have been eliminated. The casino games will also be available for everyone’s use.

 

You will be required to bring identification with you on the day, so either a passport or driving license. If you do not have either of these then a credit card with a recent utility bill will suffice. You have to become a member to be allowed into the casino. I would encourage people sign up to the casinos before they attend through the website. Just follow this link to join the casino.

 

The casinos operate a smart casual dress code which means no shorts, cut off trousers, sportswear, sandals or hooded tops. Please remember that only people of 18 years and over are allowed into the casino.

• All players start with 10,000 in tournament chips
• All levels will last 30 minutes (subject to change during the tournament)
• Game is Texas Hold’em No-limit

 Can I just ask please - are there any cash equivalents for the top 5 places if the players can't or don't want to go to Las Vegas??

If players are too young or simply don't want to go to Vegas for the final table of the national finals then we offer a cash alternative of £800.

I haven't been out there personally, but from previous winners I'm told that it's a great trip. If it's the long flight which bothers you, there are some great herbal remedies which can help you to relax.

Anyway, like you say, it's the National Finals which you need to concentrate on first :) but congratulations on getting this far.

yes the nationals first should be good day back in sunny stoke, we stayed at crown hotel web reviews paint a very grim view but in fact it is very nice in fact all the twin rooms are triples so could be be about 12 pound each taxi to to casino only 8 quid bargain

Hi.. open question to anyone really, I qualified for the last nationals but was unable to go, lucky enough to qualify for Novembers and was wondering how many players are expected to be playing? Also.. is stoke a good night out if knocked out early? Cheers in advance.

Aye. the way i am playing at the minute i will last all of 10 minutes, shall have to take plenty of money down to get rather drunk, it seemed to work for us at our all conquering regionals

 

 

yes i would say it was good night usual mix of clubs bars all close to casino and a strip joint just round corner, only i would say is be careful someone robbed me of all my money there is was in the morning with a empty wallet not even sure who toook lol ..see u there...........
